Your child MUST meet eligibility requirements to attend Camp ArtSmart (please see below).

Quick Facts:           

Who is eligible to attend Camp ArtSmart?

• Children who currently live in Fayette County who are entering Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, or 3rd grade during the 2008-2009 school year.
• Children must be at least 6 years old by June 1st in order to be eligible to attend Camp ArtSmart.
• Children of families who are currently on Free/Reduced Lunch will have first priority for available slots (due to the provisions of the grant which funds this camp).
• Children who are current SCAPA students or have been accepted to SCAPA for the 2008-2009 school year are NOT eligible to attend.

When/Where will Camp ArtSmart take place?

• June 2 - 6 and June 9 - 13, 2008 at SCAPA Bluegrass (400 Lafayette Parkway, next door to Lafayette High School).
• The camp will run from 8:30am - 12:00pm, Monday - Friday

Is there a cost involved to attend Camp ArtSmart?

• No, there is no tuition for Camp ArtSmart.  However, donations are always welcome!
• Each child will need to bring a plain, white t-shirt that they will be decorating during their art classes.  They will be brining the shirts home when they are completed!

What will my child do during Camp ArtSmart?

• Each child will attend a 45 minute class in each arts area (Music, Drama, Art, Dance) each day of the camp.
• On the last day of the camp, parents/guardians, siblings and friends are invited to attend the camp with the children to "Watch Us Learn".  There will be a short reception on the last day as well.
